"As the Director of Technology of a technology focused company there is nothing more annoying than an organization employing sales people who cannot answer the most basic questions about their product.
When we were searching for a suitable broadcast processor for our Internet Radio Station a few prospective suppliers were contacted and shortly thereafter discarded. We are particular about those who work with us and have extremely high standards that must be met.
After I psyched myself up for another call to a clueless sales person I placed a call to Innes Corporation. Only this time I received a rude shock.
As the conversation progressed I soon discovered that I was out of my depth by not knowing the answers to some pertinent questions. Ordinarily I would stress but Deborah made the conversation extremely pleasant by providing some possible answers to the questions and the reasoning behind them.
Deborah worked with me relentlessly to find the most suitable broadcast processor for my needs. Asking critical questions and referring to her wealth of experience the Orban range of products was recommended and the most suitable processor was purchased.
Because we broadcast on-line Deborah recommended the new AAC+ streaming format for exceptional audio quality and low bandwidth utilization. We were able to obtain the Orban Opticodec at a special discounted price, too.
The timeline of evidence shows that we purchased the processor on a Wednesday. I distinctly recall that the processor was to come from overseas. The following Monday Deborah contacted me with the surprising news that the processor was in Sydney and by Tuesday morning I had taken receipt of it in Perth. A week later the invoice arrived by Australian
Post. It was date stamped as being sent the same day the processor was ordered - go figure!
The excellent service did not stop there. Throughout the set-up stages of
our station Innes Corporation made regular calls to check on the progress and made some suggestions along the way. They were genuinely interested in our business and were just as keen as we were to have the best sounding station on the Internet.
Well, we have it! Our station on www.digicast.fm is the best sounding station on the Internet with excellent audio results through the broadcast processor and AAC+ codec. We sound better than every commercial station on the dial (despite the fact that we all use Orban processors).
The difference? They didn't have Innes Corporation service. Better Engineering Better Results is just the beginning of it all.
